Ministry of Industry and Information Technology： A number of competitive advanced manufacturing clusters are taking shape.

　　BEIJING, Sept. 23 (Xinhua)-On the 23rd, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held the 10th press conference on the theme of "Industry and Information Development in the New Era", with the theme of "Active service and integration into the new development pattern to promote the coordinated development of manufacturing regions". Wang Wei, director of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced the coordinated development of China’s manufacturing industry in the past decade.

　　Wang Wei introduced that in the past ten years, a number of high-level industrial carriers have supported regional economic development. Relying on advantageous development zones and industrial parks, 445 national demonstration bases for new industrialized industries have been built. These industrial demonstration bases cover key industries and fields such as equipment manufacturing, raw materials, electronic information, software and information services, and have created nearly 30% of the country’s industrial added value and more than 30% of its import and export volume. The total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size account for nearly 45% of the country’s total, which has become a high-quality carrier to lead the differentiated and characteristic development of regional industries.

　　A number of competitive advanced manufacturing clusters are taking shape. The output value of the leading industries of the 25 advanced manufacturing clusters that have been mainly cultivated is nearly 10 trillion yuan, and 25,000 enterprises have been gathered. In 2021, the output value of 17 clusters increased by more than double digits year on year; In the first half of this year, the output value of 25 clusters reached 6.2 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.1% over the same period of last year, and it has become an important force to lead the high-quality development of regional manufacturing and enhance industrial competitiveness.
