＂Chang ‘an Cup＂ Cyber Security Geek Challenge Held Successfully
On October 12th, the "Chang ‘an Cup" Cyber Security Geek Challenge, directed by the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, hosted by the Xi ‘an Municipal People’s Government, hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee Network Office and the Xi ‘an Municipal Committee Network Office, and co-organized by Xi ‘an Clover Information Technology Co., Ltd., launched the offline finals at Xi ‘an International Convention and Exhibition Center.
It is reported that this competition is divided into three groups, namely, the national colleges and universities group, the national party and government organs group and the national enterprises and institutions group. Hundreds of enterprises, institutions, party and government organs and universities from 21 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions participated in the contest, with nearly 3,000 effective applicants and players ranging in age from 18 to 35. After the preliminary selection, the strongest 30 "geek" teams were selected to win Chang ‘an.
The online flag-winning trials mainly condense the relevant technologies involved in network security work into a flag-winning challenge scene, and the players complete the flag-winning by launching a challenge. Business scenarios involve Web penetration, cryptography, security miscellaneous, binary reverse, Android reverse, virus Trojan analysis, vulnerability mining, covert communication, forensic analysis, artificial intelligence, big data security and other fields.
The offline finals are divided into two stages: the actual offensive and defensive competition between teams (AWD) and the comprehensive city key information infrastructure simulation scenario challenge (CFS).
The competition is divided into two parts. The morning part is based on the network security work of the information-based city. With the information-based city as the background, the key information infrastructure in the city is taken as the object of actual attack and defense confrontation, and each team is transformed into the guardian of Guanji. They should not only infiltrate and attack the key information infrastructure systems guarded by other teams from the perspective of attackers. Synchronization should also conduct risk investigation on the key information infrastructure system it guards and resist the attacks of other teams, take the actual combat confrontation of urban key information infrastructure as the core, simulate the inspection, penetration, vulnerability repair and defense of key information infrastructure systems, and present the real confrontation of cyberspace through a 3D visual urban model, so that the confrontation of cyberspace can be seen and touched.
The afternoon session is a real business scenario simulation challenge mode. The scenario is centered on a certain park, involving as large as parks, cities and enterprises, and as small as various business scenarios such as office area, dispatching area, monitoring area, R&D area and management area. All kinds of business systems are scaled down and truly restored at 1:1, so that the whole scene can be tested by the actual attacks of nearly 30 attack teams, so as to test the risks behind the informationization of the whole park, which is for the later informationization. It is also to implement the strategy of strengthening the country through cyber security, do a good job in regional defense, and enhance the concept of comprehensive defense through overall linkage.
After fierce competition, the "Mini-Venom" team in the university group, the "Ace Spy" team in the party and government organs group and the "ATT An CK" team in the enterprises and institutions group finally won the first prize.
After the game, the players’ nerves, which had been tense, finally relaxed. Player Ma Yanjie said that the cyber security competition is of great benefit to popularize and improve the cyber security awareness of the majority of netizens, improve the technical level of cyber security and build a cyber security barrier. At the same time, it plays an important role in promoting talent training, promoting technological innovation and accelerating the construction of a network power. More such events should be held.
