Statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics show that in the first three quarters, investment in high-tech manufacturing and high-tech service industries increased by 11.3% and 11.8% year-on-year, respectively, which was 8.2 and 8.7 percentage points higher than the growth rate of all fixed assets investment, and continued to promote industrial transformation and upgrading. The added value of aviation, spacecraft and equipment manufacturing in high-tech manufacturing above designated size increased by 18.9% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 14.9 percentage points higher than that of all industries above designated size.

The new consumption format continues to be active and the market vitality is constantly stimulated. In the first three quarters, the online retail sales of physical goods increased by 8.9% year-on-year, accounting for 26.4% of the total retail sales of consumer goods, an increase of 0.7 percentage points over the same period of last year. 1— In August, the operating income of service enterprises in key areas maintained growth. The growth rates of operating income of high-tech service enterprises, science and technology service enterprises and strategic emerging service enterprises above designated size were 10.6%, 11.1% and 8.8% respectively, which were 3.4, 3.9 and 1.6 percentage points higher than those of all service enterprises above designated size.
